Today, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. made additional disaster assistance available to the Commonwealth of Kentucky by authorizing an increase in the level of Federal funding for emergency work in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a result of severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding, and tornadoes from December 10 to December 11, 2021.
Under the President's order on December 15, 2021, Federal funds for debris removal and emergency protective measures, including direct Federal assistance, was increased to 100 percent of the total eligible costs for a 30-day period from the date of declaration.
