France welcomes the formation of the new Lebanese government, less than a month after the election of President Joseph Aoun. It warmly congratulates him, President of the Council of Ministers Nawaf Salam, and Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, for their decisive contribution to this result. It wishes the new government every success in accomplishing its mission, on which it is embarking at a historic and crucial moment for Lebanon's future.
