On Thursday 16 and Friday 17 June, as part of France's support for Ukraine, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry for the Armed Forces, conducted two further operations to evacuate and provide medical care for six Ukrainian war wounded.
On their arrival in France, the patients were transferred to civilian and military hospitals in Paris and the Paris region, with the support of the French Red Cross and the Īle-de-France Regional Health Agency.
In an initial operation set in motion on 20 May, seven Ukrainian war wounded were taken into care, suffering from orthopaedic limb traumas requiring surgical and rehabilitative treatment.
Further operations of the same kind will follow.
The operations are being carried out for the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs by its Crisis and Support Centre and its embassies in Kyiv and Warsaw.
