Mme Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, spoke to her Mexican counterpart, Mr Marcelo Ebrard, today on the sidelines of the G20 in Bali.
The Minister recalled France's commitment to the strategic partnership between France and Mexico and emphasized her wish to consolidate it.
The two ministers talked about the tragic consequences of the war of aggression Russia is waging against Ukraine, particularly in the area of food security. They welcomed the excellent cooperation between France and Mexico within the United Nations Security Council. They reaffirmed their determination to promote the joint initiative on regulating the use of the veto in cases of mass atrocities.
Mme Colonna and Mr Ebrard reaffirmed their joint commitment to Haiti's stabilization.
They reiterated our two countries' shared commitment to the fight against climate change, the protection of biodiversity, health, and gender equality.
They talked about the prospects of deepening our bilateral educational, cultural and economic cooperation projects.
