In response to the situation in Lebanon and the region, our priority is the safety of our nationals. Today the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in conjunction with the Ministry for the Armed Forces, enabled nearly 50 of our compatriots in vulnerable situations to get back to France, using the returning emergency humanitarian aid flight that arrived in Lebanon today.
They were met at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport by Mme Sophie Primas, Minister Delegate for French Nationals Abroad.
Following the announcement by M. Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, during his visit to Lebanon on 29 September 2024, we are working to organize other flights in order to facilitate our compatriots' departure from Lebanon.
We reiterate that advice has been issued strictly against all travel to Lebanon.
