Mme Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, spoke today to Ms Retno Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Bali.
The Minister congratulated the Indonesian presidency for forging consensus between a large majority of G20 members on the need for practical responses to the energy and food crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine.
The two ministers welcomed the development of bilateral relations. They agreed to hold a ministerial meeting in the 2+2 format as soon as possible. They discussed prospects for cooperation between France and ASEAN, of which Indonesia will hold the chairmanship in 2023.
