Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister Delegate for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Minister Delegate for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, attached to the Minister for the Economy, Finance and the Recovery, will attend an annual meeting with Slim Khalbous, rector of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (Association of French Universities, or AUF), to review progress on joint projects and short- and medium-term prospects.
Mr. Lemoyne and Mr. Khalbous will review the operations of the Maison des Etudiants de la Francophonie (House of Francophone Students), spearheaded by President Macron, which officially opened on November 30 at Paris's Cité Internationale Universitaire. They will discuss the major events of 2022, with France having recently increased its voluntary contribution to help launch a network of French-language training institutions to prepare students for European competitive examinations and to highlight scientific research in France.
The AUF is a worldwide network of partially or fully French-speaking establishments of higher education and research. To date, it has 1,007 member establishments in 119 countries.
