New evacuation operations between Kabul and Doha were carried out in recent days by Qatar. They made it possible for 15 French dependents to join their families, and for 21 Afghan men and women who were at high risk due to their work to receive protection.
Early next week, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs will oversee their transfer to France.
France thanks the Qatari authorities for their efforts and for their crucial assistance, which has made it possible to evacuate 124 people on five flights since September 12 (59 French nationals and 33 dependents, a citizen of another EU member state, and 31 Afghan men and women in need of protection).
All state services are standing by to take part in new evacuations as soon as possible.
